EHOVE Career Center is pleased to announce Tony Dauch has been named Assistant Director at the high school where he will supervise the technology and skilled trades career tech programs, science classes, the  eSports team, Mavericks robotics team, and student ambassador program.

Dauch started at EHOVE in 2015 as the School Resource Officer while he was an Erie County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.  In 2016, he became the high school’s Criminal Justice Instructor through 2024.  Prior to his time at EHOVE, he was a police officer for the City of Huron, and also coached middle school football and baseball.

A graduate of EHOVE Adult Education’s Police Academy in 2008, he earned a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Tiffin University, a Master of Education from Bowling Green State University, and Career Tech Teacher Licensure from Toledo University, and obtained a Principal’s License for grades 5-12. He lives in Huron with his wife, a National Guard veteran who deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, and their daughter.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the staff and students in my new position,” said Dauch.  “Our school has a great foundation of providing our students with the skills they need to be successful in their careers but also as a key part of our economy and community.”
