Since 2020, EHOVE Career Center and Erie County Health Department have partnered to provide a health center on campus tailored to provide services for staff and students in EHOVE's high school, adult education and preschool, the families of students, and the surrounding communities. New services have been added as the the school-based health center continues to serve the community. Currently, the center offers convenient access to services similar to what is provided by a family doctor, mental health provider or dentist: primary care, sick visits, preventative health, chronic condition management, pediatrics, well child visits, immunizations, travel vaccines, physicals, counseling, medication management, and dental exams, cleanings x-rays, filling, extractions and root canals.
The center is staffed by professionals who are board-certified physicians, family/psychiatric nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, mental health counselors and registration/support staff.
The services provided through the health center will be billed through insurance. Individuals without insurance will be offered a sliding fee scale based on income. Payment plan options are also available.
