Dental Assistant

ALL ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Careers:  Dental Assistants work under the direction of the dentist in private practice and public clinics. Dental assistants can advance to other careers including expanded function dental auxiliary, office manager, research associate, dental sales representative, educator, dental laboratory technologist, dental hygienist and dentist.

Learn:  Dental anatomy, chairside assisting, dental x-rays, communication and administrative procedures.

Skills:  Patient care, infection control, radiography, chairside assisting, dental software, lab skills, sterilization and office management.

Cool!:  Get to work soon in this 300 hour hybrid program.

Certifications:  Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), Ohio Dental Radiographers License, CPR

Practicum Info: Apply skills in the daytime dental office setting at the end of the program working as a dental assistant.
